These rough turning squares are fully wax sealed and have been air dried for over a year, but may still contain some residual moisture. Bug holes or slight twist/bow up to 1/8" may be present on some blanks. Black & White Ebony turns to an extremely high polish. You'll love using this in your woodturning!

A classic from SE Asia, Black & White Ebony is predominantly golden white with contrasting variegated black ink lines. Blanks have dried for one year, and contains some residual moisture. All are completely wax sealed. Stripes will vary from piece to piece but they all have varying degrees of black contrast (2 stripes or more). This material turns to a glass-like natural polish and works very easily; however it is prone to cracking and checking along the black stripes. For best results, turn & seal in one sitting. Skill level: Advanced.

This beautiful Black and White Ebony has air dried for five years as of June 2022 and has been completely wax sealed or wax sealed on the ends. The majority is dry, but some of the wood contains residual moisture. Uncommonly beautiful, you’ll see the unique patterns and contrast in each individually pictured board! It is natural in this species to have hairline checks along the black stripes. Sandpaper and glue can easily remedy this! Pin holes may be present. We have carefully described the defects; however hairline checks can be present that are not specifically noted.

This piece has incredible color and figure! May have planer skip and have a 1/16" bow or slight twist present. It is suitable for a fingerboard. Kiln dried and ready to use! Surface on 2 sides.
