This figured rustic slab is very unique. Not only is the figure beautiful, but it has one live edge and one chainsawed edge! This piece has been kiln dried. There are some checks along chain sawed edge and a few incursions knots with bark incursions and voids. Please see photo.
This Black Cottonwood has nice colors and patterns with areas of figure. It was freshly cut in July of 2022, completely wax sealed, and contains residual moisture. This was cut from the figured areas of crotchwood logs. It will make a lovely woodturning projects. Twice turning is required, but the wood dries quickly with little degrade. Cottonwood is easy to turn and sand.
