Flamewood Turning Square (12" x 1" x 1")

INCLUDES 1 WOOD BLANK (several blanks are shown to indicate the range of color/grain to expect). Dalbergia cochinchinensis is known as Laoation Rosewood, Flame wood, Cambodian Rosewood, and Rosewood. It is a rare, true rosewood from SE Asia. Colors range from flame red to orange and black and/or gray. The wood has a bright tap tone with good sustain. Suitable for turnery, fine articles, humidors, and boxes. Surface checks are fairly common. A rare wood which is seldom seen on the World market. We have had these hand selected blanks stashed away for the last 4 years waiting for them to dry perfectly. They are now dry and ready to use! This is an excellent choice for cigar pens, finials, pool cue components, and more.
