INCLUDES 1 WOOD BLANK (several blanks are shown to indicate the range of color/grain to expect). Deep reds, browns & occasional violets and black penetrate through this exotic hardwood. Similar to Cocobolo, another name for Granadillo is Mexican Rosewood. It is easier to work and glues much easier than Cocobolo. It is dense and straight with a closed grain structure. Although not a true Rosewood, the wood is commonly used by many in South America for instrument building under the name Macacauba (Platymiscium pinnatatum). Granadillo darkens to Rosewood colors. You may find some small checks that should easily turn away. These turning blanks have been air dried for a year, wax sealed, and may contain residual moisture as of November 2018. Enjoy turning this premium exotic wood! This species cannot ship outside of the USA.
